OPEX Corporation Honored by Vision Systems Design 2018 Innovators Awards Program
Moorestown, NJ – April 25, 2018 – OPEX was presented with a bronze level award in the Cameras – 3D category at the Fourth Annual Vision Systems Design Innovators Awards presentation, held during The Vision Show on April 10th in Boston, MA. The 3D over-height detect camera was recognized by a panel of esteemed experts from system integrator and end-user companies.
Using "infrared time-of-flight" camera technology, combined with proprietary algorithms within the software, the OPEX 3D over-height detect can identify a potential over-height situation, force a non-advancement condition of the vehicle and alert a human operator to inspect the grouping of one or more items being processed and reposition the items within the vehicle so as to cure the over-height condition. This significantly reduces downtime associated with jammed vehicles within the AS/RS.
“Our 3D over-height detect on the Perfect Pick® and Perfect Pick® HD is instrumental in detecting potential jams due to overflowing totes before they occur as inventory is picked or replenished. This technology provides for increased labor productivity and improved inventory accuracy for our customers in their warehouses and distribution centers,” said Scott Maurer, President, OPEX International. “At OPEX we design and build fast, flexible and future-proof technologies that our customers rely on and we are honored to be recognized by Vision Systems Design.”
Alan Bergstein, publisher of Vision Systems Design said "This prestigious program allows Vision Systems Design to celebrate and recognize the most innovative products and services in the vision and image processing industry. Our 2018 Honorees are an outstanding example of companies who are making an impact in the industry."
